NEW YEAR and NEW WAYS to explore practice. Have you been wanting to learn about our Mysuru (MYSORE) Ashtanga Program? Are you new to yoga and would like to instruction and guidance to build a foundation for your practice? Join this 8 Class series guided by Sandee Lawless. Each week she will break down the beginning postures of the Primary Series, and prepare you to begin practice within the Ashtanga Method-Mysore Style. This class ...is appropriate for all levels and all bodies, ages and abilities. Use of props, chairs and various approaches to each posture are used, so you can safely practice and find ease in your breath. This is a non-competitive and highly supportive approach. Here is the schedule: Starting January 18 *Monday and Wednesday* 6:45PM-7:30PM * PST Week 1: Intro to the method, breath, seals, focal pointing and Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskara). Week 2: First of the standing postures, and some closing postures. Week 3: Building on what we learned more standing, some seated, closing. Week 4: Putting it all together, Mysore class and a Q and A Conference/Session. SLIDING SCALE: $5/ Class : $40 or $6/Class: $48 or $7/class: $56 or $8/class: $64.SUPPORT the Shala Pass $80. We need BETA testers who would be willing to practice to some of our pre-recorded classes, test the registration process, and fill out survey sheet after each class providing us honest, candid feedback about your experience. We have now served over 2,000 clients with this healing and transformative practice. Folx who otherwise would not able to take practice, as we remove financial and physical barriers. We have served Elders in nursing homes and people in treatment centers. We hold daily classes by d...onation. We provide scholarships for unlimited memberships for people who otherwise could not attend classes. We provide scholarships for workshops and trainings with visiting master teachers. And we have provided 8 FULL And PARTIAL Scholarships to our Teacher Training Yoga School - #HeartofVinyasa. Recipients are BIPOC, LGBTQ2S, and those in recovery. We continue supporting them in the transition to teaching by providing a 6 month mentorship upon graduation, supporting them fully as the go on to do this work within their communities. If they choose, they become #YogaPunx teachers, and are paid as employees for their labor. No longer do we buy into pay per student attended yoga teacher payment model. That's equivalent to 'Pay to Play'. Yoga is Liberation for All, but no one is free until those most impacted by systemic racism and oppression are free. We could not do this without your support.
