What’s one thing you’re grateful for?

Colonial Beach Yoga Collective 03.12.2020
Hi yogis! Just checking in...how are we all holding up ? These are certainly unprecedented times we are living in, aren’t they? There are a few things I’m doing on the daily to stay grounded so I figured I’d share. 1. Wake up and stretch. Maybe run through a few sun salutations, or come into child’s pose. 2. Check social media/news for 5-10 mins, then stop. It’s all just so much and I know bc of this time at home I’ve been over-doing it and mentally and physically (text-neck...), I’m feeling it. 3. Take a walk or two. 4. Find an online class and practice yoga or meditation for an hour. It is so easy to let our minds go to a negative place but whenever you’re feeling angry, sad or frustrated...just breathe. Take 5 minutes and come back to your breath. Bring your thumb to your index finger and say one thing you’re grateful for out loud, then the next finger...and so on. I read something online the other day that said You are not stuck at home, you are SAFE at home. Change your perspective. Breathe. Be thankful for your breath...The ability to stay at home/have a home/your health/friends/family and the ability to communicate with them in some form. We miss our yoga community & hope you all are well. Huge thanks to those that can’t stay at home bc they are on the front lines. Take care of yourselves!

Hey everybody. Hope this Saturday morning finds you as well as can be expected. Just a note to let everyone know we continue to add new content to our YouTube c...hannel every day. Have you seen this one yet? Alana leads a very unique Kripalu session, a Kripalu Moon Salute... The Kripalu Moon Salute is a sequence that is meant to be cooling, calming, and quieting. This class is designed for all levels. Kripalu yoga is about compassion and honoring your uniqueness. It teaches us how to tune into our inner wisdom and our self-acceptance by being present in the moment and accepting what is. The sequence can be done at any time, but is a wonderful way to end the evening when we are desiring a quiet, calm presence. Check out this video here, along with all our others (including a couple of other recent adds). https://www.dragonflyyogafred.com/free-videos. Thanks and enjoy.
