Megan, our high school intern, is wrapping up her time with us and we will be sad to see her go! She has helped us with front desk admin, social media, and marketing. But I think her favorite part is our favorite part too- patient care! Megan helping with an exercise focusing on balance and hand/eye coordination

Exercise is Medicine. It is your own pill box. It can be local in your vanity.... It can travel in your suitcase. It can be on your left shoulder to get you through the day. It can be on your right shoulder to get you through the night. If you do it, just feel it where you should! #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #pt #pain relief #painreliever #feelittohealitphysio #physiotherapy #physiotherapist #fisioterapia #fisioterapeuta #fisio #exercise #fitness #chronic pain

I'm sure your physical therapist, chiropractor or mom has told you to sit up straight! One way to improve posture of the neck on the shoulders is to bring your ears over your shoulder and NOT slouch! This movement is called cervical retraction --- and it SHOULDN'T increase your tinnitus! If this happens...then you will want to AVOID good posture and therefore a vicious cycle of continuing to have a forward head. Not good!... The GOOD news is that we can help you! We have a subspecialty in treating somatosensory tinnitus. Check out our 14-day Tinnitus Exercise Program in our bio or contact us for more evaluation and treatment options to help you! Tinnitus is the phantom sensation of sound in the absence of overt acoustic stimulation. Somatosensory tinnitus is a cause of subjective tinnitus that should be taken into account in patients with signs and symptoms of cervical pain and dysfunction, especially those with normal audiometric tests. Somatosensory tinnitus is a subgroup of tinnitus that is responsive to manual-based tinnitus treatments by your physical therapist. This could provide relief from your tinnitus symptoms. #somatosensory tinnitus #tinnitus #hearingloss #hearingaids #hearing #audiologist #audiology #hearinghealth #ears #health #ear #hearingaid #hearingtest #audpeeps #chronicpain #vertigo #tinnitusawareness #hearinglosswontstopme #hyperacusis #tinnitushelp #hearingimpaired #hearingprotection #neckpain #earache #cervicalpain #tmj #tmd #jawpain #fascia #myofascial #myofascialrelease #therapy #fisioterapia #bodywork #physicaltherapy #PT

Looking down is a neck movement we do ALL day! Think about how much time you spend on your phone usually at 35 degrees of neck flexion! Then add that time to looking down to cook, or type, or do any crafts! This can ADD up! This movement should NOT cause an increase in your tinnitus symptoms or else you will constantly ‘PICK’ at your neck and will take forever to heal!... The GOOD news is that we can help! We have a subspecialty in treating somatosensory tinnitus! Check out our 14-day Tinnitus Exercise plan via link in bio or contact us to learn more treatment options to help you! Rotating your neck to one side involves at least 50% of the motion from the upper cervical spine! These segments are the C1-2 couple, also known as the atlas and axis vertebrae. Dysfunction of the upper cervical spine is one of the main causes of somatosensory tinnitus! Good news, we have a subspecialty in treating these conditions and you CAN improve!
