The People's Inauguration begins on the 21st. If you haven't heard Valarie Kaur talk about Revolutionary Love in a time of Rage then I *highly* recommend you check it out on YouTube. She also has a wonderful book titled "See no Stranger". My favorite little folk singer, Ani DiFranco, has written a song for this movement and it's just amazing. This is the path forward. Love is always the answer. C'mon friends. ... In this moment of great transition, Breathe. And then, Push. See more
I cannot recommend this book enough! Life changing information. Modern science confirms what ancient cultures always knew.
Attention my Yoga loving friends!! PLEASE take a moment to read: If you have ever thought of deepening your practice, of journeying deep into the center of your heart and awakening into the fullness of your being; if you have ever considered a yoga teacher training course, a deeper understanding of postures, a regular meditation practice, breathwork, or ball-rolling for self massage; then please do this for yourself. ... To say this course is transformative would be an understatement. With David Vendetti 's enthusiastic and unwavering support, along with over 60 presenters leading workshops on various topics, the Yoga Liberation Front is a revolutionary approach to training that brings social justice, revolutionary love, and yoga together in an online program. The community cultivated in this group became an anchor and safe space in otherwise tumultuous times. We challenged ourselves and each other to dig deep, we laughed and cried, and flourished. If you've ever considered, even for a moment, that you might want to deepen your practice, then I whole heartedly urge you to check out this program. The next session starts in February. What are you waiting for? The time is now.

One of the most difficult things for us to accept is that there is no realm where there’s only happiness and there’s no suffering. This doesn’t mean that we sho...uld despair. Suffering can be transformed. As soon as we open our mouth to say suffering, we know that the opposite of suffering is already there as well. Where there is suffering, there is happiness. If we focus exclusively on pursuing happiness, we may regard suffering as something to be ignored or resisted. We think of it as something that gets in the way of happiness. But the art of happiness is also the art of knowing how to suffer well. If we know how to use our suffering, we can transform it and suffer much less. Knowing how to suffer well is essential to realizing true happiness. - Thich Nhat Hanh Artwork: Celia Anahin #Happiness & #Suffering

Blessed winter solstice eve!
During this difficult time people are experiencing grief in a whole new way. The lack of closure can make the already difficult process of grieving so much harder and the pain is compounded by pandemic related isolation. Please reach out to those you know that are grief stricken. If you are grieving, please know that you are not alone and that there is support available to you, even during these covid- challenging times. One local resource is the Wellness Hub in Hubbardston. It is a holistic grief and wellness center that offers private and groups sessions to talk about your experience. They also offer yoga and meditation for a full mind/ body approach to healing.
Great list! Is there anything you would add?
Tomorrow 8:30am Yoga for Everybody at the Wellness Hub. Space is limited so register in advance at https://www.wellnesshub1main.com/. Don't forget your mask and I'll see you on the mat!
: @mardou | I’m curious how are y’all being proactive about your mental and emotional health today, tomorrow, and the following day? For those of us on the De...colonizing Nonviolent Parenting journey, I want to offer the reminder that this presents a perfect opportunity for us to reparent ourselves through the anxiety. Críandome, Cuidándome through any and all outcomes. I’m considering holding a Community Holding Circle this Friday evening because the way I care for myself is by allowing for mutual care. Would this be of support to anyone? #latinxparenting #ijustwantmigentetoheal #endchanclaculture #raisingfutureancestors #thecyclestopsconmigo See more
